Hailun HU120 (48") Classic Series - COLORFUL EUROPEAN TONE

The Hailun HU120 is a 48″ Classic Series upright piano. It stands out for its clear, colorful tone, with seamless transitions of sound in all registers of the piano. The HU120 beautifies any home surroundings while its sturdy construction makes it the perfect mid-size institutional or studio instrument at an affordable price point.

Tone

The scale of the HU120 is based on the European school of design. As such the tone it produces is colorful rich and warm, with good clarity in the treble without ever sounding "thin".

Action

Just like the world's best pianos, the HU120 features a solid hardwood maple action. Hailun designers have engineered the touch to be highly responsive and fluid throughout the entire keyboard. This allows for a wide range of dynamics and musical expression.

Soundboard

The soundboard converts the vibration of the strings into audible "sound". The Hailun HU120 uses high-grade solid spruce for this highly important component.

Hammers

The HU120 uses high-quality double-felted hammers with AMBIC top-felt. The stiffer inside layer of felt helps the hammer retain shape and good tone for a longer period of time when compared to single-felt hammers.

Strings

The HU120 uses Röslau steel strings from Germany. Röslau strings are very well regarded in the industry and are found on some of the world's finest pianos.

Pinblock

The HU120 features a 17-layer pinblock made of hardwood maple. These many layers of rigid hardwood "grip" the tuning pins better when compared to a normal pinblock. Combined with 4 sturdy backpost, this helps the piano stay in tune longer.

Iron Plate

The plate of the HU120 is made in the traditional wet-sand-cast method. The same as Steinway, Bosendorfer, and many other luxury piano makers. This process takes more time and resources than a standard vacuum-cast plate but it produces a significantly denser and sturdier result, giving the piano a more rounded and pleasant tone.

Cabinet

The traditional cabinet features a single-piece lid, soft-close fallboard, and an extra-wide music desk to accommodate more music and books. The double rubber casters make repositioning the piano easier while also protecting your floor.
